The Standing Wave
Compute & Capex · supplier-side map

Jensen’s five-layer cake, mapped onto Nvidia.

Draft atlas · Chapter 1 from Signal № 016

Not a new H-number. Parallel to the H15 SpaceX map: same vertical-integration logic, different integrator. Nvidia already owns the chip layer and is buying the distribution layer so more of the world’s models run on its silicon. Jensen drew this stack at the G20 ministerial in Chapel Hill. We map evidence onto his layers. We do not invent a sixth.

How this relates to H15

SpaceX is trying to own power through application so it does not have to rent the stack. Nvidia already owns chips and is buying the open-weight library.

Two integrators, two directions. Both can be true. Hugging Face inside Nvidia is not a SpaceX story. Keep the maps separate. Weekly Signal copy points here; the atlas stays off the Tuesday issue except as a link.

Chapter 1 · Signal № 016 · foundation map

The five-layer cake

Read top-down the way Jensen stated it at G20: energy, chips, data centres, models, applications. Energy is the industry bind. Chips are the proven cash engine. Everything above that is how Nvidia keeps the engine running. Poolside was a $6 billion spend on software (Signal 014). Hugging Face is the $12.9 billion conversion on distribution this week.

Dependencies

This map touches the same cross-cutting theses as H15, from the supplier side:

In the Signals

Chapter 1 lands in Signal № 016. Earlier context: Signal 014 (Poolside spend), Signal 015 (full-stack path, HF price cut as rumour). Compare with H15 SpaceX map.
